 COURT RESTRAINS RESIDENT DOCTORS FROM EMBARKING ON STRIKE  The national industrial court Abuja division has restrained all members and agents of the national association of resident doctors from calling, directing, organizing, participating in, and embarking upon any form of industrial action.  Justice Emmanuel Danjuma Subilim gave the order in an interim injunction filed by the federal government through the office of the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice.  The court temporally barred members of the association from embarking on any form of strike, work stoppages, go-slows, picketing, or any other form of industrial protest or disruption. The association is equally restrained from taking steps preparatory to any form of industrial action from the 12th day of january, 2026.  Dismiss more ministers, Ndume tells Tinubu


The lawmaker representing Borno South senatorial district, Ali Ndume, has called for the sacking of more slacking ministers from President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet.


Ndume, in a statement on Saturday in Abuja, said some other ministers who were not performing should be sacked.


The lawmaker applauded Tinubu’s recent cabinet restructuring, particularly the creation of the Ministry of Regional Development to oversee all regional commissions.


He said, “We saw President Tinubu’s cabinet reshuffle last week, which was a masterstroke.


“More needs to be done as some ministers are still ‘missing in action.


“I’m particularly pleased about establishing the Ministry of Regional Development to oversee regional commissions. The President’s decision to streamline ministries also exemplifies his commitment to reducing the cost of governance.”


He encouraged Tinubu to pursue his de-dollarisation policy further by positioning Nigeria to join BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa).

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
