 Brave Young Woman from Mabopane Speaks Out About Horrific Sexual Abuse A young woman from Mabopane, Amogelang Matshidiso Diale, has come forward to share a painful experience of abuse and sexual violence at the hands of her then-boyfriend. On 3 June 2023, Amogelang says she was assaulted and raped by the man she had been dating for three months. According to her, he woke her up in the middle of the night holding a shovel and threatening her. When she tried to explain she had come from a funeral, he began to beat her. “He slapped me until I felt numb, tried to drown me, tied me with cables, and even strangled me until I passed out,” Amogelang said. Throughout the night, she says she was tied up, choked, and violently attacked. She managed to escape in the early hours of the morning after pretending to calm him down. The Edo Command, in response to a complaint on X formerly Twitter where some Police men extorted the complainant  of the sum of Three Hundred and Eighty Thousand (#380, 000) along Agbede road, has identified the erring Police men attached to Operation Wabaizigan 012 as:


1. AP/No. 95636 DSP Madaki Abdulwahab (Team Leader) 


2. AP/No. 308947 Insp Arikpo Vincent; and


3. AP/No. 345619 Insp Oboh Sunday


The money have been recovered and returned to the owner. While, the DSP has been queried and the two Inspectors of Police are facing orderly room trial for their unprofessional conduct. 


The Command frowns at this unwholesome practice and would stop at nothing to ensure that they are punished so as to serve as deterrent to other Police men in the Command.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
