 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.  EFCC Arrests 44 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Ebonyi, Anambra States


Operatives of the Enugu Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC have arrested Forty-four (44) suspected internet fraudsters at different locations of Enugu and Anambra States.


They were arrested in the early hours of Saturday and Sunday, September 28 and 29, 2024 following actionable intelligence linking them to suspected online criminal activities.


Upon arrest, preliminary investigations showed that the suspects took advantage of social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook to defraud unsuspecting victims. Specifically, while some of the suspects specialized in using fake identities to engage foreign nationals in romantic affairs with intention to defraud them, others were found with fraudulent documents in their devices.


Other items recovered from them include laptops and different brands of sophisticated mobile phones.


They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
