  Oshiomhole Convinced Us To Make Obaseki Governor – Philip Shaibu Philip Shaibu, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, has disclosed that his choice to support his former boss, Godwin Obaseki, stemmed from his respect for Adams Oshiomhole, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Naija News, Shaibu shared his doubts about Obaseki during an interview on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm program on Tuesday. Shaibu admitted that he lacked confidence in Obaseki's leadership even before they took office on November 12, 2016. He explained that despite his initial hesitations, he ultimately backed Obaseki out of respect and based on the assurances provided by Oshiomhole. He stated, “Obaseki is not a politician. We made him governor because Oshiomhole persuaded us.  Every day with you has been a gift” – Olori Ashley celebrates Ooni of Ife as he turns 50


Olori Ashley, the fourth wife of Yoruba monarch Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, is celebrating him as he turns 50 today, October 17th.


Taking to her Instagram page, she described him as her crown jewel and love as she stated that every day with him has been a gift. Olori Ashley expressed how blessed she is to share the milestone with him as she cheered to the memories they have made and the beautiful moments to come.


Affirming her love for him, she expressed sadness that she wasn’t with him to celebrate this milestone. However, it was for a good cause.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
