 Sudan war: Hundreds of civilians displaced in latest South Kordofan's violence A total of 570 civilians were displaced from Kadugli, the capital of South Kordofan, over a three-day period due to deteriorating security conditions, the UN International Organization for Migration (IOM) said. The organisation said in a statement that its tracking teams recorded the displacement of 570 people from Kadugli between 8 and 10 January, as insecurity escalated in the city. The displaced families headed toward areas in White Nile State, southern Sudan. The situation in Kadugli remains “tense and volatile,” the agency said, adding that its teams are continuing to closely monitor developments on the ground. Last week, IOM reported that the number of displaced people across Sudan’s three Kordofan states, North, West and South, had risen to 64,890 between 25 October and 30 December 2025. Forbes has named Davido Africa’s richest artiste for 2024

Stating that he is 4x richer than his rival, Wizkid.

The Forbes list, which ranked Africa’s top five wealthiest musicians, placed Davido at the top with a net worth of $100 million.

Don Jazzy followed with $50 million, while Burna Boy and Wizkid held third and fourth spots with $30 million and $25 million, respectively. Rema stood at $15 million.

Rema had previously hinted at his rising status in one of his songs, claiming that the “Big Three” era is over, as he now ranks fourth.

The new Forbes ranking has however stirred disagreements among fans, particularly amid the ongoing social media clash between Davido and Wizkid.

Fans of Wizkid and Burna Boy have expressed their displeasure with the ranking, igniting further discussions within the music circle.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
