 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  Hardship: Nigerian Govt, NLC, TUC meet over fuel price, others


A delegation of the Nigerian government, on Wednesday, met with leaders of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, TUC.


The meeting which, convened by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, George Akume, is centred around the state of the nation, especially petrol pricing and its consequences.


At the meeting were Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser, NSA; Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, Labour Minister; Wale Edun, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy.


Others are Alhaji Mohammed Idris, Information Minister; Heineken Lokpobiri, Petroleum Minister, State; Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), and representatives of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Limited, Vanguard reports.


This is coming amid the adjustment of NNPCL pump price of fuel from N897 per litre to N1,030 in Abuja, and from N855 to N998 in Lagos.
