 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail.  He is my guy” – Basketmouth corrects the misconception between him and Wizkid after singer shaded him


Nigerian comedian Basketmouth has corrected the misconception people have about him and Grammy singer, Wizkid after the singer shaded him.


We reported that Wizkid started the year with violence as he dragged his colleague, Davido. In one of his outbursts, the ‘Ojuelegba’ hitmaker threw shade at Basketmouth as he said that Bobo, Davido’s ex-lawyer and childhood friend, always follows him around dressed like the comedian.


In response to Wizkid’s comment, Basketmouth shared a video of himself at Billionaire fashion designer, Seyi Vodi’s clothing store in Abuja. 


He was seen checking out some collection of outfits, gushing over himself as he wore a matching black shirt and trousers. He questioned if his outfit choice works for Wizkid.


Taking to his comment section, a fan stated that he doesn’t believe Wizkid was trying to shade him. He explained that he believed the singer was trying to clown Davido’s lawyer for dressing like a comedian and not being professional.


Replying to him, Basketmouth stated that he knew Wizkid wasn’t shading him as he claimed that the singer was his guy. He also explained that he was catching the cruise with the misconception most people have about it and using it to promote his new movie.
