 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. Veteran multiple award winning actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele made her opinion known about the ongoing japa issues in the country.


As today, the 1st of October 2024, marks the 64th year that Nigeria gained her independence, the actress took to her Instagram to celebrate the country’s new year.


Funke Akindele appreciated and praised every Nigerian for their perseverance in this period of trial in the country


The mother of two boys expressed her utmost belief that Nigeria will be great again and therefore she will not be relocating to another country for greener pastures.


The highest grossing producer counted the blessings and achievements that she attainted in Nigeria which include being able to empower the youtha, ability to shoot a movie with over one hundred and seventy five (175) crew members, the selling out of her movie release.


Akindele Acknowledge that Nigeria got her all these and many more and she will not be deserting the country during her hard times.
