 Three de-ad, four coaches affected as Warri-Itakpe train derails The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has confirmed the d3ath of three persons following the derailment of the Warri-Itakpe train in Agbor, Delta State. The Corporation added that four coaches left the rail track during the incident which occurred on Monday, June 8, 2026. The Managing Director of NRC, Dr. Kayode Opeifa, said in a statement that the emergency response team and other relevant authorities are currently managing the situation and providing necessary assistance. “The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has confirmed a serious train accident involving the Warri–Itakpe Train Service (WITS) corridor at Agbor, Delta State,” the statement read. “Rescue and emergency response operations were immediately activated.  Igbo Community Confers Chieftaincy Title On Gov Uba Sani


The Igbo Community in Kaduna State has honored Governor Uba Sani with the chieftaincy title of Ezi Enyi Ndigbo (True Friend of the Igbos). 


This recognition, presented during the 2024 Igbo Cultural Day Celebration, celebrates the governor's dedication to rebuilding trust, enhancing security, and promoting unity in the state.


Governor Sani, in his acceptance speech, commended the Igbo community for their industriousness, resilience, and contributions to the state. 


He emphasized the attractive business incentives Kaduna offers, reinforcing its status as a top state for ease of doing business. 


To further support Igbo entrepreneurs, Governor Sani announced the allocation of land for a new Spare Parts Market, with plans to personally inaugurate the project with a groundbreaking ceremony.
