 Zango Kataf, Jaba PDP Committees Hold Reconciliation Meeting Ahead Of 2027 Elections The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Working Committees in Zango Kataf and Jaba Local Government Areas have held a strategic reconciliation meeting aimed at strengthening party unity and positioning the party for success in the 2027 general elections. The meeting, held on Friday, July 31, 2026, in Jaba Local Government Area, was jointly chaired by the PDP Chairmen of Jaba and Zango Kataf LGAs, Sabastine David Bijiri and Martins Markus Koyah. It brought together party executives, stakeholders, ward officials, elders, youth and women leaders, as well as members from both local government areas. Speaking at the meeting, the Zango Kataf PDP Chairman commended party leaders and members for supporting the zoning of the party’s House of Representatives ticket to Zango Kataf Local Government Area.  Today, during the Independence Day Parade Celebration at Lagos House Marina, I called for a reflection on the core values that bind us as Lagosians and Nigerians: hard work, resilience and hope for a better tomorrow.


Today is a call to action for all of us to recommit ourselves to one another. When we come together to work together, we can make Lagos a true model for Nigeria.


I envision a Lagos where every citizen feels valued and secure. Building that requires transparency and open communication. We must invest in not just infrastructure, but also in our people; their futures and those of their children.


Despite the challenges we face, I urge us once again not to lose hope. 


To the youth; your energy and passion are essential; you are not just the future, but the present, and we need your ideas. 


And to our elders; I am grateful for your sacrifices, and I promise to honor them by ensuring that Lagos remains a land of opportunity for generations to come. 


Let’s embrace our independence and strive for a brighter future together.- Gov. Sanwo-Olu.
