 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.  Israeli War: Iran Middle East superpower embarrassed Netanyahu – Adamu Garba


A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Garba, on Saturday, said Iran embarrassed the Israeli government led by Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.

Garba said Israel’s failed war has shown that Iran is the Superpower in the Middle East.

Israel had launched direct airstrikes against Iran.

The attack is a high-stakes retaliatory one that could bring the Middle East closer to a regional war.

The Guardian UK reports that at least seven explosions were reported over Iran’s capital, Tehran and nearby Karaj just after 2.30am local time on Saturday.

Israeli jets were said to have struck what were described as “military targets” in Iran.

Reacting, Garba posted on X: “Practically all Israel attacks on Iran were repelled by Iranian Air Defense. Iran lost just 2 soldiers in the attack.

“This was a huge embarrassment to the government of Benjamin Natanyahu.

“In fact this proves beyond reasonable doubt that it is Iran, not Israel that is the preeminent superpower in the Middle East. Israel’s military capabilities are all propaganda.

“It can only be effective on innocent people of Gaza and defenceless people of Lebanon.”

    Some Nigerians are funny to a large extent. We have got some threats to life in Nigeria ranging from food scarcity, security, power supply, shortage of medicine and a whole lots. These problems have not bordered them but to interfere in the war that doesn’t concern us. These useless people take delight in wasting innocent lives!

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
