 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. JORABAT: A TRUCK DRIVER BRUTALLY KILLED A UNIVERSITY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER. (PHOTO).

 A shocking incident occurred in Jorabat where an Administrative Officer of Cotton University, Dhrubajyoti Barman, was brutally killed by a truck driver. Mr. Barman, who also serves as the superintendent of Cotton University’s Hostel, was travelling from Guwahati to Tezpur when the attack took place. This unexpected act of violence has left the academic community in shock.


According to eyewitnesses and reports, the altercation began following a minor accident between Mr. Barman’s vehicle and a truck. The disagreement between Dhrubajyoti and the truck driver quickly escalated. In a fit of rage, the truck driver allegedly attacked Dr. Barman with an iron rod, severely injuring and killing him.


Following the assault, bystanders rushed to the scene and attempted to intervene. The local police have been informed and are actively investigating the incident.


The incident has sparked outrage among the student community and faculty members of Cotton University, who have called for stringent action against the assailant. Authorities are urging the public to maintain peace and have assured that the truck driver responsible for the attack will be brought to justice.
