 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. JORABAT: A TRUCK DRIVER BRUTALLY KILLED A UNIVERSITY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER. (PHOTO).

 A shocking incident occurred in Jorabat where an Administrative Officer of Cotton University, Dhrubajyoti Barman, was brutally killed by a truck driver. Mr. Barman, who also serves as the superintendent of Cotton University’s Hostel, was travelling from Guwahati to Tezpur when the attack took place. This unexpected act of violence has left the academic community in shock.


According to eyewitnesses and reports, the altercation began following a minor accident between Mr. Barman’s vehicle and a truck. The disagreement between Dhrubajyoti and the truck driver quickly escalated. In a fit of rage, the truck driver allegedly attacked Dr. Barman with an iron rod, severely injuring and killing him.


Following the assault, bystanders rushed to the scene and attempted to intervene. The local police have been informed and are actively investigating the incident.


The incident has sparked outrage among the student community and faculty members of Cotton University, who have called for stringent action against the assailant. Authorities are urging the public to maintain peace and have assured that the truck driver responsible for the attack will be brought to justice.
