 Kwara Govt donates 150 off-road motorcycles to Nigerian Army •LGAs acquire 320 motorcycles to boost vigilantes' security operations  In a bid to further strengthen security operations and maintain peace across Kwara State, His Excellency Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led Kwara State Government has donated 150 off-road motorcycles to the Nigerian Army. The motorcycles are expected to enhance troops' mobility and effectiveness, particularly in rugged terrains such as forests, where non-state actors may be hiding with intent to destabilise the peaceful atmosphere of the state.  Kwara Lawmaker, Hon. Arinola Fatimoh Lawal, Mourns Captain Muhammad Gobir


Hon. Arinola Fatimoh Lawal, the member representing Ilorin East Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of one of her constituents, Captain Muhammad Ahmad Gobir.


In a statement made available to Just Event Online TV, , Hon. Lawal described the late Captain Gobir as a dedicated and honorable individual who served his community with distinction.


She extended her heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of the deceased, praying for strength and comfort during this difficult time.


"Captain Muhammad Ahmad Gobir was a true son of Ilorin East, and his loss is deeply felt by all who knew him. May his soul rest in peace," Hon. Lawal stated.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
