 New UK Prime Minister not the leader Britain needs — Kemi Badenoch UK Conservative Party leader, Kemi Badenoch, has congratulated Andy Burnham on becoming Britain’s new prime minister but said while he is “a nice man,” the country needs a leader capable of making difficult decisions rather than “a people pleaser.” In a statement released on Monday on X following Burnham’s assumption of office, Badenoch wished the new prime minister success but vowed to hold his government accountable as Leader of the Opposition. “Today, Britain has a new Prime Minister. I wish Andy Burnham every success. Because we need a Prime Minister and a Government focused on fixing the public’s priorities,” she said.  Kwara Lawmaker, Hon. Arinola Fatimoh Lawal, Mourns Captain Muhammad Gobir


Hon. Arinola Fatimoh Lawal, the member representing Ilorin East Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of one of her constituents, Captain Muhammad Ahmad Gobir.


In a statement made available to Just Event Online TV, , Hon. Lawal described the late Captain Gobir as a dedicated and honorable individual who served his community with distinction.


She extended her heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of the deceased, praying for strength and comfort during this difficult time.


"Captain Muhammad Ahmad Gobir was a true son of Ilorin East, and his loss is deeply felt by all who knew him. May his soul rest in peace," Hon. Lawal stated.
