  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. LAGOS STATE ARRESTED CELEBRANT, EVENT PLANNER, MUSICIAN ETC FOR OBSTRUCTING TRAFFIC AND CREATING ENVIRONMENTAL NUISANCE. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 On Saturday, 19th October, 2024, the Lagos State Government arrested individuals, including the celebrant, event planner, musician, and others, for obstructing traffic and creating an environmental nuisance.


The individuals arrested are:

1. Omolara Ajetumobi – Event Planner

2. Ogundare Olubunmi – Celebrant

3. Ayodele Busuyi – Musician

4. Owoeye Adedayo – Sound Engineer

5. Akinola Akinkunmi – Vendor


The suspects were arrested for blocking Raymond Njoku Road in Southwest, Ikoyi during a birthday celebration. They will be tried in court in accordance with the relevant laws of the State.


The Lagos State Government reiterates that no one is above the law and will not be permitted to disregard State regulations.
