 ASUU–ABSU SUSPENDS THREE-WEEK-OLD INDEFINITE STRIKE The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Abia State University Branch, wishes to inform the University community, all stakeholders and the general public that, following the resolution of Congress held today, Friday, 28th August, 2026, the Branch has suspended its three-week-old comprehensive industrial action with immediate effect. The decision of Congress followed a careful assessment of developments since the commencement of the strike and, particularly, the concrete steps taken towards addressing some of the major issues that necessitated the industrial action. Foremost among these is the full implementation of the 2025 FGN–ASUU salary structure, including the Consolidated Academic Tools Allowance (CATA), which has now been reflected in the August 2026 salaries of academic staff of Abia State University.  Our order stoping PDP’s congresses in Abia still subsists – Court rules


Abia State High Court, Bende Judicial Division, presided over by Justice C.U. Okoroafor, has told the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that its earlier order restraining the party from holding state, local government and ward congresses in Abia State has not yet been vacated.


The court order, which is dated October 25, was pursuant to the suit marked HB/3/2024, filed by Francis Etuzu, Chidindu Kalu Kalu, and Enyinnaya Ogbu.


The court also ordered that contempt proceedings be served on the PDP National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu; Abia PDP Caretaker Committee Chairman, Alwell Asiforo Okere; and the Caretaker Committee Secretary, Kenneth Madubuike.


Defendants in the suit include the PDP (excluding the claimants), the National Chairman of the PDP, the PDP National Financial Secretary, the PDP National Organizing Secretary, and the PDP National Legal Adviser.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
