 Aguiyi Orders Investigation into Trans Nkisi Mining Site Over Environmental Compliance By Amaka Isikala The Anambra State Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Clem Aguiyi, has ordered an investigation into the environmental compliance status of a mining site at Trans Nkisi, Onitsha, following concerns over extensive land degradation and its possible contribution to the growing gully erosion threatening the community. The directive followed an inspection visit to the site on August 1, during which the commissioner was accompanied by leaders of the Trans Nkisi community. The visit formed part of the ministry's ongoing assessment of environmentally sensitive locations across the state in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's Fifth Pillar of Development, Environment and Urban Regeneration.  POLICE ARREST THREE SUSPECTS FOR POSSESSION OF HUMAN PARTS

 

Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have arrested two suspects for being in possession of suspected human tongues in Lagos. 

 

The suspects, Isah Amohullahi 'm' aged 30 and Abubakar Isah 'm' aged 32 were

arrested in a taxi on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 during a routine stop-and-search on Otedola bridge. 

 

Further investigations led the operatives to the arrest of another suspect from whom the parts were bought, Gbolahan Temidayo ‘m’, in Oyingbo Market, Lagos.

Meanwhile, investigation is ongoing at the Command headquarters, at the conclusion of which the suspects would be arraigned if found culpable.
