 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. Veteran Nollywood actor Kanayo Kanayo has joined many in bemoaning the hardship in the country


The veteran, via his Instagram page, shared a TikTok video of two dogs living a better lifestyle overseas. In the clips, the dogs, who were dressed in pajamas and sleeping on a luxury bed, were woken up by their owner. The owner of the dogs shared a glimpse of the luxury breakfast she makes for her dog daily.


Reacting to it, Kanayo said he woke up unhappy after seeing the video because of the hunger in Nigeria. He expressed sadness at how dogs could be sleeping on better beds and eating better food than most Nigerians. He questioned how people can compare living as a human dig or being in Nigeria.


Sending a message to Nigerians, he told the citizens that God would be with them as he prayed for them.
