 PRESS RELEASE MINISTER OF INFORMATION LEADS HEADS OF AGENCIES TO BROADCASTERS CONFERENCE IN LAS VEGAS In an effort to strengthen broadcast collaborations and form strategic alliances, Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris fnipr, has led a delegation of heads of government agencies to the 2025 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Conference and Workshop in Las Vegas, USA. The NAB event, running from April 5 to 9, carries the theme “The Technology, The Trend, The Future” and will cover a range of topics, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud visualization, the creator economy, and sports production and streaming. SEVEN JOHANNESBURG POLICE OFFICERS ARRESTED FOR MURDER, TORTURE, ASSAULT ETC. (PHOTO).


 Seven police officers from the Johannesburg District Crime Prevention Unit have been arrested on serious charges, including murder, torture, assault, housebreaking, and theft. Those arrested are Sgt. Palmer Philip Machaba and Constables Josephine Baloyi, Thobani Qinisani Mkhwanazi, Thulani Siphiwe Hlatshwayo, Tshepo Chokoe, Andile Keto, and Tubalethu Madwantsi.


The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) made the arrests on 1 October 2024, and the officers appeared in court at the Protea Magistrates Court the following day. Their case has been postponed until 7 October 2024, for a bail application.
