 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary. SEVEN JOHANNESBURG POLICE OFFICERS ARRESTED FOR MURDER, TORTURE, ASSAULT ETC. (PHOTO).

 Seven police officers from the Johannesburg District Crime Prevention Unit have been arrested on serious charges, including murder, torture, assault, housebreaking, and theft. Those arrested are Sgt. Palmer Philip Machaba and Constables Josephine Baloyi, Thobani Qinisani Mkhwanazi, Thulani Siphiwe Hlatshwayo, Tshepo Chokoe, Andile Keto, and Tubalethu Madwantsi.


The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) made the arrests on 1 October 2024, and the officers appeared in court at the Protea Magistrates Court the following day. Their case has been postponed until 7 October 2024, for a bail application.
