 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  Stakeholders call for N100m turnover threshold for small business tax exemption


Stakeholders have urged the federal government to increase the turnover threshold for small businesses to be exempt from the new Withholding Tax (WHT) regulation from N25 million to N100 million. While they welcomed the government’s efforts to ease the tax burden on businesses, they argued that N25 million is too low given current economic realities.


They praised the policy for supporting small businesses but emphasized the need for a higher threshold to better reflect inflation and the devaluation of the naira.
