TEXAS WOMAN LEAVES HER CRITICALLY INJURED 9-YEAR-OLD SON AT THE SCENE OF HET DUI CRASH. (PHOTO).

Texas woman leaves her CRITICALLY injured 9-year-old son at the scene of her DUI crash.

Dallas Fire and rescue were called to the scene of an accident on the early morning hours of Wednesday, October 10th. They were shocked and appaled at the scene they arrived to.

According to multiple witnesses who heard the crash and came outside,  39-year-old Monica Tutt had been speeding down the street when she struck 2 cars. They said everyone on scene was yelling at Tutt to unlock her doors, but she just screamed and kept attempting to start the car.

A few minutes later, Tutt's sister arrived on the scene. Tutt attempted to get in the driver's seat of her sister's car and take off but the sister stopped her. The two then went back to Tutt's vehicle and pulled the unconscious 9-year-old boy from the car. Tutt and her sister then began trying to load the critically injured child into the sister's car.

Dallas Fire and Rescue arrived on scene while they were attempting to load the child in the vehicle. It was at this point, Tutt's sister and another family member rushed her off to their car and sped away fully abandoning the injured child!

EMS on scene reported the child had a gash on his head that showed his exposed skull. Once at the hospital doctors determined the poor boy was suffering from air on the brain, a brain bleed and a fractured skull.

Police quickly identified Tutt and her sister using pictures that eyewitnesses had taken. They found Tutt at her sister's house and said she was obviously very intoxicated. She kept stating "I did the same thing I always do" and that her chance at a nursing career was over.

Tutt failed a field sobriety and breathalyzer test. She was taken for a blood draw before being booked into Dallas County Jail.

The 9-year-old boy remains in the hospital in critical condition as of the writing of this article.

We hope the 9-year-old boy makes a full recovery.
