THE LONG-STANDING RIVALRY BETWEEN INDIAN RAPPERS YO YO HONEY SINGH AND BADSHAH SEEMS TO BE REIGNITING. (PHOTO)

The long-standing rivalry between Indian rappers Yo Yo Honey Singh and Badshah seems to be reigniting.

Recently, Yo Yo Honey Singh took a dig at Badshah’s rapping abilities on social media, hinting that their feud might not be over. The two artists had reportedly ended their 15-year-long beef last year, but a recent Instagram post by Honey Singh suggests otherwise. He shared a promo video from Indian Idol, where Badshah was freestyle rapping, and mocked the lyrics with a sarcastic comment, adding a laughing emoji.

In the video, Badshah rapped, “Dilli ka golgappa, Mumbai se bhelpuri, Chandigarh ki lassi ko gadd gadd pi jaate hai.” Honey Singh, sharing the clip on his Instagram Stories, wrote, “Such lyrics will make my fortune,” making fun of Badshah’s lines. Badshah has not yet responded to this public jab.

The rivalry between the two rappers dates back to their time together in the rap group Mafia Mundeer, which also included artists like Raftaar, Ikka, and Lil Golu. The group released several popular tracks but disbanded in 2012 after a falling out. Since then, Honey Singh and Badshah have taken shots at each other through interviews and social media.

In an earlier interview, Honey Singh mentioned that Raftaar had released more diss tracks against him than Badshah. He also shared that Badshah’s family had once approached him for a collaboration, which he declined. Despite their differences, Badshah has previously spoken about Honey Singh’s mental health struggles, expressing sympathy and calling it unfortunate, while emphasizing the importance of maintaining mental health as a major artist.
