  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. Nollywood actor and filmmaker Femi Adebayo is quite elated as his 2023 movie, Jagun Jagun bags 7 nominations at the 2024 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).


Taking to his Instagram page to share the good news, Femi revealed that his movie bagged nominations for Best Actor in a Supporting Role, Achievement in Costume Design, achievement in Make-up, achievement in Production Design, Ousmane Sembene Award for Best Film in African Language, achievement in Visual Effect and National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) award for best Nigerian film.


Femi expressed how honored he is for the nominations as he expressed how excited he is for all the contributors in the nominated categories for his movie. He also gave a shout-out to the organizers of the award for the recognition and to his team, for making his movie a masterpiece.
