 The credibility of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) voters’ register has come under intense scrutiny ahead of the 2027 general elections, following revelations by INEC Chairman Professor Joash Amupitan that names of deceased persons remain on the register. Amupitan disclosed that names of voters who died as far back as 15 years ago are still listed, a situation critics say could undermine the integrity of the 2027 polls and lead to significant financial waste through the printing of excess ballot papers and other election logistics. The INEC chairman made the revelation while receiving the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Abisoye Coker-Odusote, and her management team during a courtesy visit in Abuja on Wednesday.  We Miss You So Much’ – Mr Ibu’s Wife Celebrates Late Husband’s Posthumous Birthday


Stella Maris, the wife of late Nollywood actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, has paid tribute to her late husband on what would have been his 63rd birthday.


We recalls that Mr Ibu died on 2nd March 2024 at the age of 62 after a prolonged battle with illness.


In  an Instagram post on Thursday, accompanied by photos of their family, Stella recalled how the veteran actor cherished and celebrated his birthdays.


She wrote, “Today is my late husband’s birthday (Mr. IBU). This will mark the first birthday without him celebrating with us here.


“I can’t forget how he used to cherish and celebrate his birthdays. We miss him so much. May his soul continue to rest in eternal peace. Amen.
