 NAFDAC Reopens Onitsha Drug Market After Month-Long Closure The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has reopened the Onitsha Head Bridge drug market, popularly known as 'Ogbo Ogwu', after a month-long closure for sanitization and regulatory enforcement. The market was shut down as part of NAFDAC's nationwide clampdown on fake and substandard medicines. To prevent a recurrence of the issues that led to the closure, NAFDAC has implemented strict administrative conditions for reopening. Shop owners are required to complete documentation and clearance procedures before their shops can be unsealed. A dedicated NAFDAC desk has been established to facilitate the process efficiently, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.² According to NAFDAC Director-General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, only shops that meet the conditions will be allowed to resume operations. Nigerian singer and politician Bankole Wellington, better known as Banky W, has praised his wife, Adesua Etomi, over her maternity shoot


We reported on Monday that Adesua and her husband, Banky W had announced that they were expecting their second child. In a joint Instagram post, the couple shared Adesua’s maternity photos as they noted how they first had each other, then they had a son, and now are expecting another.


Following the pregnancy announcement, Adesua tensioned the internet with a jaw-dropping maternity shoot on Wednesday evening. 


The soon-to-be mum of two, via her Instagram page, shared photos of her slaying pregnancy in a green dress and sunglasses. Adesua stated in her caption that if acting doesn’t work out, she can always have a backup job, which is undoubtedly modeling.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
