 Indian wrestler and Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist Bajrang Punia has been suspended for four years by the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA).  The suspension comes after Bajrang refused to provide a doping sample during the national team selection trials on March 10, 2024. This decision follows an initial provisional suspension on April 23, which was later upheld by NADA’s Anti-Disciplinary Doping Panel (ADDP) after a series of hearings. The panel found Bajrang guilty under Article 10.3.1 of the Anti-Doping Rules and ruled that his four-year ineligibility would begin from April 23, 2024, the date of the initial suspension notification. The panel also clarified that a brief period when the provisional suspension was lifted, from May 31 to June 21, would not count toward the four years. This ban means Bajrang cannot compete in wrestling or take up international coaching opportunities during the suspension period. 3 PEOPLE FACING CHARGES AFTER A 79-YEAR-OLD WOMAN WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL WITH HER MATTRESS AND HAVE IT SURGICALLY REMOVED AFTER EXTREME NEGLECT, SHE SADLY DIED. (PHOTOS).

 A 79-year-old Massachusetts woman had to be taken to the hospital with her mattress and have it surgically removed after extreme neglect. She sadly passed away. 


Three people are facing charges in connection with the horrific death of Dinora Cardoso. Dinora was found suffering from extreme neglect when EMT's arrived at her home on May 17th, 2023 after a call from her daughter Eva Cardosa.


First responders say "Dinora was found covered in cockroaches, feces and bedbugs". Her condition was so bad she was literally "stuck to her bed and had to be taken to the hospital on the mattress where it was surgically removed from her body". Sadly Dinora passed away 2 days later from necrotizing fasciitis and sepsis.


Her nurse, Lisa Hamilton, who is one of the trio being charged in her death, reported she was "clean and well cared for only days before her death".


Officials say her daughter (Eva) collected up to $140,000 while caring for Dinora although her diabetes went completely untreated and she was left to languish in squalor.  Her granddaughter, Kyla Cardosa, also served as Dinora's health care proxy. The three women allegedly billed MassHealth for services that were never provided to this poor woman.


Now all three are facing serious charges in connection with her death. 


53-year-old Eva Cardosa is facing Manslaughter, caretaker neglect, larceny and medical fraud.


31-year-old Kyla Cardosa is facing catetaker 

neglect, medical fraud and larceny 


64-year-old Lisa Hamilton is facing caretaker neglect and fraudulent claims.


They are all scheduled appear in court on January 15th, 2025.

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
