 PRESS RELEASE MINISTER OF INFORMATION LEADS HEADS OF AGENCIES TO BROADCASTERS CONFERENCE IN LAS VEGAS In an effort to strengthen broadcast collaborations and form strategic alliances, Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris fnipr, has led a delegation of heads of government agencies to the 2025 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Conference and Workshop in Las Vegas, USA. The NAB event, running from April 5 to 9, carries the theme “The Technology, The Trend, The Future” and will cover a range of topics, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud visualization, the creator economy, and sports production and streaming. A 97-YEAR-OLD MICHIGAN WOMAN WHO HELPED CREATE A HIGH-SCHOOL CHEER SQUAD IN HER YOUTH GETS TO RUN IT BACK ONE MORE TIME .(PHOTO).

 A 97-year-old Michigan woman who helped create a high-school cheer squad in her youth gets to run it back one more time thanks to the current squad!

Ilagene Doehring was recently reminiscing of her days as a cheerleader to the staff of Candlestone Assisted Living. She told them how she had helped create the first cheer squad at Merrill High School and had even made the school's first cheer uniform herself! She confided with staff her wishes to wear the Merrill High cheer uniform one last time.


When a staff member posted the tale on Facebook, Merrill high cheer coach, Jena Glazier, wasted no time in making it happen.


The whole squad came to the assisted living facility to visit Ilagene and bring her a cheer uniform, which Ilagene promptly tried on. The squad then performed some cheers with Ilagene culminating in a lift that she insisted on.


You go Ilagene! You rock!!

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
