 STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE PRESIDENT TINUBU RECONSTITUTES NNPC LIMITED BOARD, APPOINTS NEW CHAIRMAN, GROUP CEO President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved a sweeping reconstitution of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited board, removing the chairman, Chief Pius Akinyelure and the group chief executive officer, Mallam Mele Kolo Kyari.   President Tinubu removed all other board members appointed with Akinyelure and Kyari in November 2023.   The new 11-man board has Engineer Bashir Bayo Ojulari as the Group CEO and Ahmadu Musa Kida as non-executive chairman.   Adedapo Segun, who replaced Umaru Isa Ajiya as the chief financial officer last November, has been appointed to the new board by President Tinubu.   Six board members, non-executive directors, represent the country's geopolitical zones. A STAGE ACTOR PASSED AWAY MID-PERFORMANCE DURING A PRODUCTION OF "A CHRISTMAS CAROL".(PHOTO).

 A stage actor passed away mid-performance during a production of "A Christmas Carol".


The heartbreaking incident occurred during a November 24th presentation of A Christmas Carol at the Citadel theater in Alberta, Canada.

Beloved stage actor Julien Arnold who played both Jacob Marley and Mr. Fezziwig suffered a medical emergency. Sadly despite vigorous attempts at resuscitation... the 60-year-old actor passed away.


The theater has dedicated the remaining shows in honor of the late actor. Julian is remembered as a gifted performer and cherished member of the theater community. 


Our thoughts are with his family and the entire theater community as they struggle to cope with this unexpected loss.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
