 NEMA COORDINATES SAR OPS AT THE SCENE OF BUILDING COLLAPSE INVOLVING A THREE STOREY BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT GUDU AREA OF FCT At about 0945hrs on Saturday 16th May, 2026, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was alerted of a building collapse at Gudu District of FCT.  Critical stakeholders including Federal Fire, FCT Fire, NSCDC, NPF, FRSC and Federal Capital Territory Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) were activated while a response team of NEMA from the Abuja Operations Office led by the Head of Operations Mr Zakari Abubakar  and operatives from AYA Emergency Response Bay (ERAB) were deployed to the scene for quick response and coordination.  A reinforcement team  from NEMA Headquarters led by the Director Search and Response (DSAR) Air Cdre Bature Usman was also on ground to provide necessary backup and supervision.  Appeal Court Disqualifies Ondo Labour Party Governorship Candidate, Ebiseni


The Court of Appeal in Abuja has disqualified Olusola Ebiseni as the Labour Party’s candidate for the upcoming Ondo state governorship election. The court’s decision, delivered on Wednesday, November 13, was the result of an appeal challenging Ebiseni’s nomination by some members of the party. 


Ebiseni, who is also the secretary-general of the Afenifere group, has been involved in a candidacy dispute with Ayodele Olorunfemi, a unionist. The ruling was issued by a three-member panel, led by Justice Adebukola Banjoko.
