 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service.  Health Minister Warns Against Fake LITACOLD Medicine on the Market


Cameroonian Health Minister Manaouda Malachie has issued a warning about a counterfeit medicine called LITACOLD, which is being sold in the country. The medicine is meant to relieve nasal congestion and sinus issues, but it is not authorized for sale in Cameroon.


The minister explained that the genuine LITACOLD, which was approved for sale in Cameroon in 2018, is manufactured by GENERIC HEALTHCARE PVT Ltd from India. However, a version of LITACOLD, produced by a different company, MEDICALE PHARMACEUTIQUE, does not have the proper approval to be sold in the country.


Manaouda Malachie has urged the public and health professionals to be cautious and ensure that the fake LITACOLD is not in their stock. If found, it should be immediately removed from distribution and put under quarantine.


This alert comes as part of ongoing efforts to protect public health and prevent the spread of counterfeit drugs.
