 New UK Prime Minister not the leader Britain needs — Kemi Badenoch UK Conservative Party leader, Kemi Badenoch, has congratulated Andy Burnham on becoming Britain’s new prime minister but said while he is “a nice man,” the country needs a leader capable of making difficult decisions rather than “a people pleaser.” In a statement released on Monday on X following Burnham’s assumption of office, Badenoch wished the new prime minister success but vowed to hold his government accountable as Leader of the Opposition. “Today, Britain has a new Prime Minister. I wish Andy Burnham every success. Because we need a Prime Minister and a Government focused on fixing the public’s priorities,” she said. Media personality and luxury brand owner Toke Makinwa has revealed the reasons why she ditched her date last night.


Taking to the micro blogging platform, X, formerly known as Twitter, Toke Makinwa disclosed that she was supposed to be on a date but her love for K-drama forbidden her from doing so.


While expressing desires that her date will not find her post, she compared dates to an interview which she will gladly skip to watch a Korean series titled, Captivating the King.


She tweeted, “I cancelled a date tonight cos of K drama. I hope he doesn’t see this o hut Dates these days be like interview, ma bimi ni jamb questions Jo let me watch captivating the king in peace.”
