 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity. FORMER UNIVERSITY OF LIMPOPO PROFESSOR'S KILLER SENTENCED TO THREE LIFE TERMS BY POLOKWANE HIGH COURT. (PHOTO).

 Emmanuel Charles Mbokota, a 33-year-old man, has been sentenced to three life terms for a string of heinous crimes in South Africa. He was found guilty of murdering former University of Limpopo professor Mohamed Saber Tayob, 53, in Sterkpark, Polokwane, on March 13, 2022.


In another incident, Mbokota shot and killed Malatji Putana Lucas, 33, in Mabocha village, Tubatse, on April 1, 2022. Lucas was building a house for Mbokota at the time.


Additionally, Mbokota was convicted of shooting and killing Luvhimbi Edward Muofhe, 57, at a BMW dealership in Nirvana, Polokwane, on April 4, 2022. He had demanded the keys to a grey BMW X6 and assaulted employees during the incident.


Mbokota’s crimes were investigated by Sergeant Florence Concilia Tlhatlha of the Provincial Organised Crime Unit, leading to his arrest and subsequent sentencing

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
