 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.  Gov. Mbah Proposes N971bn 2025 Budget for Enugu State, Focuses on Education and Infrastructure


Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, has unveiled a N971 billion budget for 2025, a significant 86.4% increase over the 2024 budget. The proposed budget allocates 86% to capital expenditure (N837.9bn) and 14% to recurrent expenditure (N133.1bn). Key priorities include education, with N320.6bn set aside for the sector, as well as major investments in roads, water, energy, and healthcare. 


Mbah also highlighted a dramatic 286.2% increase in the state's Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), which rose to N144.7bn in September 2024. The Governor expressed confidence in elevating Enugu to a top-three state in national GDP and securing inclusive economic growth. The Enugu State House of Assembly has committed to early passage of the budget to support the governor's development plans.
