 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Monarch of the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth realms, His Majesty King Charles III, on the occasion of his 76th birthday.


In a congratulatory message delivered on Thursday during a reception held at the residence of the British Deputy High Commissioner, Governor Sanwo-Olu praised the enduring historical bonds between the United Kingdom and Nigeria.


The Governor stated: “Your birthday is not just a celebration of your life but also of your unwavering dedication to public service, environmental advocacy, and your profound commitment to enhancing the well-being of communities across the globe. On behalf of the people and government of Lagos State, I express our sincere appreciation for the deep historical ties between the United Kingdom and Nigeria, which have fostered strong cultural, diplomatic, and economic partnerships. As we look forward to continuing to build on these bonds, we celebrate Your Majesty’s leadership as a source of unity and inspiration to all.”


He lauded King Charles III for his exemplary leadership and vision, which continue to inspire Lagos State and the global community to uphold sustainability, inclusivity, and harmony. The Governor emphasised the King’s efforts in setting a powerful example for future generations.


Governor Sanwo-Olu, represented at the event by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. 'Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin further acknowledged the King’s remarkable contributions to global unity, sustainability, and inclusivity. He prayed for His Majesty's continued good health, happiness, and a peaceful reign marked by greater accomplishments and joy.


The event was graced by notable dignitaries, including the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Tayo Ayinde, members of the Lagos State Executive Council, and distinguished guests from various walks of life.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.  Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
