The Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ondo State, Oluwatoyin Babalola has expressed satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the Ondo governorship election.
She confirmed that the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) recorded about 97 per cent success rate in the ongoing election.
Babalola confirmed this when addressing pressmen while monitoring the exercise at some centers in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
She said: "So far so good, it has been running smoothly, we opened polls very early, about one and half hour before the official time because we promised the people of Ondo state that we would wait for them at the polling units, the voters would not wait for us. The BVAs machines are working optimally, we have all our materials in sufficient quantity and people are voting seamlessly.
"Generally on BVAs I've had just about two complains and our team quickly solved the problem, but generally over 97% have received very good reports."
