 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity. ‘It Could’ve Been Fatal,’ Bishop TD Jakes Expresses Gratitude Following Health Scare


Bishop TD Jakes of the Potter’s House in Dallas, US, has thanked family members, friends, his congregation, and well-wishers for their support after he suffered a health scare.


The 67-year-old Jakes had lowered his microphone and was spotted shaking while sitting on a stool where he delivered a sermon during the church’s service last Sunday.


Days after the incident which saw church officials rushing to the stage to prevent him from falling from the stool, the cleric was full of gratitude to those ” who were concerned and sent love and sent notes”.


“It didn’t have to end this good. I’m so grateful,” Bishop Jakes said in a video post on his Instagram handle on Wednesday.


“I’m grateful to y’all, all the people who prayed, all the people who texted, all the people who had prayer vigils, all the people who were concerned and sent love and sent notes. I’m just grateful.”.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
