 Tim Curry’s “Rocky Horror” legacy honoured on Broadway as cast leads tribute after his death Tim Curry’s legacy as Dr. Frank-N-Furter was honoured on Broadway Wednesday night, with the cast of “The Rocky Horror Show” dedicating their curtain call to the late actor. Curry, who d!ed Tuesday at 80, originated the role of Frank-N-Furter in both the 1973 London stage production and the 1975 film “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.” Paul Soileau, who currently plays Frank on Broadway, used the curtain call to remember the actor who first brought the character to life. “But if you trace it all back, 53 years ago there’s one home and one vessel, one mothership that Frank-N-Furter can actually call home. And it’s Tim Curry,” Soileau said. The audience responded with applause before breaking into a “Tim! Tim! Tim!” chant.  Kenya blocks access to Telegram during exam hours to tackle exam malpractices.


Six Kenyans were arrested for engaging in exam malpractices on the app last year.

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF TELEGRAM SERVICES


It has come to the attention of the Authority that the Telegram platform is being misused to perpetrate criminal activities, including compromising on the integrity of the ongoing national examinations.


As result, various government agencies have reached out to the Authority seeking assistance in taking down social media channels and forums, including Telegram, that are interfering with the integrity of our national examinations. Whereas all other social media platforms operating in Kenya have taken steps to address misuse of their platforms, we note with dismay that Telegram Inc. has remained non-responsive and continues to host offending forums and channels in blatant breach of the laws of the land and the general principles of Data Protection and Privacy.


By this letter, all Mobile Network Operators are hereby directed to use all available mechanisms to suspend the operation of Telegram Inc in the country particularly during the administration of the KCSE Examinations between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 am. in the morning and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the afternoon from Monday to Friday up to until November 22nd, 2024.
