 Police probe Sallah killings in Kano, invite Emir Sanusi for questioning The Police Force has invited Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II for questioning over the killings during the Sallah celebration in Kano. The letter dated April 4, 2025 and signed by CP Olajide Rufus Ibitoye, Commissioner of Police (Operations), said the invitation was under the directive of the Inspector General of Police. The monarch is to report to the Force Intelligence Department, opposite the Police headquarters, Area 11, Abuja, on Tuesday, April 8 by 10:00am. “I have the directives of the Inspector General of police, through the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Force Intelligence Department (FID) to invite you for an investigative meeting with regards to an incident that occurred during the Sallah celebration within your domain. “Your availability is highly sought for a purposeful investigation,” the invitation letter emphasised.  Libya deports seven Nigerians, others


The Department for Combating Illegal Migration in Libya, Migrant Rescue Watch has deported seven Nigerians, three Bangladeshis, and three Ghanaians detained at the Qanfoudah Immigration Detention Centre.


They were deported for violating Libyan law. In a statement on their X handle on Tuesday, the deportees have been flown out of Libya via Benina International Airport in Benghazi.


The statement read, “DCIM deported 13 migrants (3 Bangladeshis, 3 Ghanaians, and 7 Nigerians) from the Qanfoudah Immigration Detention Centre via Benina International Airport in Benghazi. All individuals were deported for violating laws in force in the Libyan state.”
