 I Don’t Wish It On You – Genevieve Nnaji Knocks Trolls Age-shaming Her Veteran Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji has responded to social media trolls who made age-shaming comments about her. According to Naija News, a user on X reacted to Genevieve's post on April 3, 2025, stating that she couldn't escape aging and was getting older. The comment read, “You really cannot cheat nature. My fine wine is finally growing old.” In her reply, Genevieve pointed out that things could be worse; she could age significantly and eventually die if she were fortunate. She wrote, “It gets worse, bro. I’ll get so old I’ll die. If I’m lucky.” Another troll referred to her as “mummy,” suggesting she was old, but Genevieve quickly dismissed the comment, saying she wouldn’t wish old age on him.  Man Utd confirm Ruben Amorim as new manager


Manchester United have officially announced Ruben Amorim as their new manager, subject to work visa requirements.

He will join until June 2027 with a club option of an additional year, once he has fulfilled his obligations to his current club. 

He will join Manchester United on Monday 11 November.

Ruben is one of the most exciting and highly rated young coaches in European football. Highly decorated as both a player and coach, his titles include winning the Primeira Liga twice in Portugal with Sporting CP; the first of which was the club’s first title in 19 years.

Ruud van Nistelrooy will continue to take charge of the team until Ruben joins.


Amorim is the sixth permanent manager United have appointed since Sir Alex Ferguson's 26-year reign ended with his retirement in 2013.


In a statement, the club said that "Ruben is one of the most exciting and highly rated young coaches in European football".


Sporting confirmed in a statement that United have agreed to pay 11m euros (£9.25m) to trigger a release clause in Amorim's contract.

Amorim's first fixture in charge of the Red Devils is set be on 24 November, after the international break, in the Premier League against newly promoted Ipswich.

His first home game will be against Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League on 28 November, with a league game against Everton the following weekend.

United will announce who will be on Amorim's coaching staff at a later date.

Amorim could bring as many as five coaches with him. Carlos Fernandes, 29, and Adélio Candido, 28, have been with Amorim since he started out as a manager with Casa Pia in 2019. Emanuel Ferro, goalkeeping coach and sports scientist Paulo Barreira are others who might also move to Old Trafford.

After losing against rivals Porto in the Portuguese Super Cup on 3 August, Amorim has guided the side he led to last season's Primeira Liga title through a 14-game unbeaten run.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
