 Four people have died after a car was swept away at an overflowing bridge in the Makotopong River near Sebayeng. Police recovered the bodies after a blue Renault Kwid carrying five occupants was pulled into the river during heavy water flow on Sunday morning, 8 March 2026. One passenger escaped from the vehicle and alerted police and emergency services. Police say the car was travelling along the Madiga–Makotopong gravel road when it overturned at the flooded bridge and was dragged into the river. The Provincial Search and Rescue team recovered the first body on Sunday. The victim was identified as Lebapa Petrus Mochitele, 27, from Madiga Village. EMS personnel declared him dead at the scene. Search operations resumed on Monday with the SAPS Water Wing Unit, EMS Search and Rescue, the Fire and Rescue Department, and an EMS helicopter.  Na God dey save person” – Zics Aloma grateful as his living room ceiling POP collapses


Nigerian skitmaker and content creator Aloma Isaac Junior, better known as Zics Aloma, has expressed gratitude to his Maker after his living room POP ceiling collapsed


Taking to his Instagram page, he shared a video of the aftermath of the incident as he revealed that he was asleep when he heard a sound. At first, he thought he was dreaming, but when he woke up, he was scared to go down because he felt the building had collapsed. 


Zics said when he finally developed the courage to go downstairs, he saw that his living room POP had collapsed.


The skitmaker expressed gratitude to God for saving his life and that of his crew members as they were in his house a day back for a shoot and most of them had slept in the parlor. He pondered on what would have happened if they were still in his house.
