 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable.  NNPCL debunks report on adulterated Petrol


The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has dismissed a circulating video showing a person pouring a dark liquid, claiming it to be Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) supposedly bought from an NNPC Retail station at the Keffi Flyover.


In a statement by NNPCL spokesperson Olufemi Soneye, the company clarified that it conducted spot checks at all its outlets and confirmed the claim to be false. 


According to the statement the product was not, and could not have been purchased from any NNPC Retail outlet, as the company does not dispense petroleum products into bottles or jerrycans, as shown in the video.


NNPC Retail Ltd emphasized that it maintained stringent standards and quality control at every stage of its operations to ensure only high-quality, safe, and reliable petroleum products are available at its stations nationwide.


The company urged the public to disregard the misleading claims in the video and to be cautious of individuals spreading such misinformation, as they do not have the country's best interests in mind.
