McDonald’s launches World Cup meal and collectible cups ahead of 2026 FIFA tournament kickoff McDonald’s is launching limited-time World Cup meals and collectibles ahead of the FIFA tournament kickoff on June 11, as excitement builds for the expanded 48-team competition co-hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada. The fast-food chain, returning as an official tournament sponsor, will roll out its World Cup-themed menu nationwide starting June 4. Customers can choose between a Big Mac or a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets meal, both served with a special gold-packaged Big Mac Sauce. As part of the promotion, McDonald’s is also releasing collectible cups featuring nine global soccer stars and cultural icons. The lineup includes Christian Pulisic, David Beckham, Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry, Son Heung-Min, Lamine Yamal, Alphonso Davies, Santiago Gimenez, and the brand’s mascot Grimace. NPF MOURNS PASSING OF RETIRED AIG NJANGOR EGBE 


The Nigeria Police Force regrets to announce the passing of a distinguished officer, Assistant Inspector General of Police Njangor Egbe Njom (Rtd.), who departed this world on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at the age of 82.


AIG Njangor Egbe Njom (Rtd.), who passed away peacefully in his sleep, was born on March 15, 1942, in Etomi Village, Etung Local Government Area of Cross River State. He joined the Nigeria Police Force and rose to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police, earning a reputation for integrity, commitment, and selflessness throughout his career. He was also a one-time commandant of the Nigeria Police Academy, Kano. 


Beyond his professional achievements, AIG Njom was a devoted pastor with the Deeper Life Bible Church, where he continued to serve diligently even after his retirement. He was a role model and mentor, impacting countless lives with his staunch principles and compassion. AIG Njom lived an exemplary life of service, dedication, and faith.


The Inspector General of Police and the entire Nigeria Police Force extend their heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones during this time of loss. His legacy as an officer of distinction and a man of faith will remain an enduring source of inspiration.


May his soul rest in perfect peace.
