 COURT RESTRAINS RESIDENT DOCTORS FROM EMBARKING ON STRIKE  The national industrial court Abuja division has restrained all members and agents of the national association of resident doctors from calling, directing, organizing, participating in, and embarking upon any form of industrial action.  Justice Emmanuel Danjuma Subilim gave the order in an interim injunction filed by the federal government through the office of the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice.  The court temporally barred members of the association from embarking on any form of strike, work stoppages, go-slows, picketing, or any other form of industrial protest or disruption. The association is equally restrained from taking steps preparatory to any form of industrial action from the 12th day of january, 2026.  Okpebholo Appoints Gani Audu as Chief of Staff


Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has appointed Gani Audu as his new Chief of Staff. 


The announcement was made through a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Musa Ikhilor, on Friday. The Governor expressed confidence that Audu’s appointment would contribute significantly to driving meaningful reforms in the state.


The statement read, "It is hereby announced for the information of the general public, particularly the good people of Edo State, that Governor Monday Okpebholo has approved the appointment of Gani Audu as his Chief of Staff. The appointment takes immediate effect."


About Gani Audu:


Born on August 18, 1969, Gani Audu holds an HND from Auchi Polytechnic (1994), a PGD in Business Administration from Benson Idahosa University (2011), and an M.Sc. in Intelligence and Global Security from Baze University, Abuja (2024).


Audu has held several key positions, including serving as the Chairman of Etsako West Local Government Council from 2004 to 2010, and as a member of the Edo State House of Assembly for Etsako West Constituency 1 from 2015 to 2023. He was also the deputy governorship candidate for the All Progressives Congress in the 2020 Edo State Governorship election.
