 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  Onigbongbo LCDA Chairman, Dotun Olakanle Dies


The Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area, Oladotun Olakanle is dead.


The Chairman reportedly died early Saturday, 2 November, 2024.

Circumstances surrounding his death are still sketchy as at press time.

His administration distributed vehicles to police formations in his council area on Friday, 1 November, 2024.

Reports also stated that he was at the burial party for the late All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Dr Adesola Taiwo, Chief Executive Officer of Adefemi Taiwo Hospitals on Thursday, 31 October, 2024.

This would be the second time sitting Council Chairman in Onigbongbo LCDA would die in office during their second term.

Olakanle’s predecessor, Babatunde Oke, also died in office deep into his second term.
