Yemen fighting pushes nearly 3,000 to Djibouti in less than a week: UN    Nearly 3,000 people have fled Yemen for Djibouti in less than a week as escalating violence drives growing displacement within the country and across its borders, the UN refugee agency said Friday. “Refugees continue to arrive by boat through Obock, Khor Angar, Moulhoule and Godoria after difficult journeys in small vessels,” UNHCR representative in Djibouti Sandrine Desamours told reporters in Geneva, Anadolu Agency reported. More than half of those crossing the Bab el-Mandeb Strait are women and children, while some families have been displaced for a second time after previously fleeing Yemen during the 2015 crisis and later returning. UNHCR is preparing for at least 10,000 new arrivals but warned that capacity is rapidly diminishing.  Osun Government Appoints Prince Jokotola as New Olojudo of Ido-Osun


The Osun State Executive Council has officially approved the appointment of Prince Jokotola Olayinka Tunde as the new Olujudo of Ido-Osun in the Egbedore Local Government Area. He succeeds the late Oba Aderemi Adedapo.


The Olojudo stool is governed by the 1956 Registered Declaration, which stipulates that the Adenko Ruling House is next in line for the position.


In a statement released on Friday, the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, confirmed that the selection process adhered to all relevant laws and procedures.


The Council has urged the new monarch to work towards fostering peace and progress for both the town and the state. Governor Ademola Adeleke had previously emphasized the importance of continuing to deliver democratic benefits, stressing that the reward for hard work is even greater effort.


Governor Adeleke highlighted the positive public reception of the government’s actions and called on the administration to sustain and even accelerate its efforts, focusing on the state's five-point agenda while keeping the momentum of progress intact.
