 Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti, OFR, has approved 100 hectares of land within the Abia Airport Project Site for the Nigerian Air Force to build its training base in Abia State. The Nigeria Air Force had requested an expansion of the 50 hectares of land already earmarked for its training base at the Abia Airport Project Site.  Governor Otti gave the approval on Tuesday, March 10th, in his office while receiving a delegation of the Nigeria Air Force (NAF), Ground Training Command led by the Commander, Air Vice Marshal Adebayo Gabriel Kehinde, who called on him. "The partnership is such that Abia State Government is handling the runway, and the Federal Government is handling the Airport Terminal.  "We expect the runway to be ready very soon. PLATEAU GOVT SIGNED A MOU WITH INTERNATIONAL NGOs; BEB AND ASSOCIATION OF ORPHANAGES AND HOME OPERATORS IN NIGERIA TO CREARE DIGITAL IDENTITIES FOR CHILDREN IN ORPHANAGES. (PHOTO).

 The Plateau State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with international NGOs; Both Ends Believing (BEB) and Association of Orphanages and Homes operators in Nigeria to create digital identities for children in orphanages. 


The MoU aims to find permanent, safe, and caring families for children in orphanages. Through the Children First Software, the MoU will help children living in institutions unite with loving families.


Governor Caleb Mutfwang, represented by the State Commissioner for Women affairs, Caroline Panglang Dafur, said the state would support the initiative and also track fake orphanages operating in the state and prosecute anyone involved in child trafficking.
