 Hardship: Bricklayer absconds as wife gives birth to triplets in Ondo A bricklayer identified as Bayo Jeje has allegedly absconded from home after his wife gave birth to a set of triplets at a private hospital in Igbokoda in Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State. Jeje was said to have disappeared after some midwives and nurses at the hospital told him his wife, Iyanu Ehuwa Jeje, gave birth to three baby boys. The incident took place on Tuesday, causing confusion inside the facility of the Aribo Hospital in Ilaje as the health workers raised the alarm about the whereabouts of  Jeje. Sources at the hospital told Daily Trust that the man left his wife and the newborns stranded in the hospital.  Plateau Residents Lynch Cultists and Set Bodies Ablaze


Residents of Jenta Adamu, located in the Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, have lynched several suspected cult members who were allegedly terrorizing the community.


The incident occurred on Friday morning when the suspects, believed to be cultists, attempted to rob residents of their possessions. According to Plateau State Police Command's Public Relations Officer, Alfred Alabo, a distress call alerted the police at around 9:20 a.m. about the cult members' attempt to commit robbery in the area.


The police swiftly responded, and the Commissioner of Police directed officers from the “A” Division in Jos to investigate the situation. Upon arrival, law enforcement officials discovered that an enraged mob had taken matters into their own hands, capturing the suspected cultists, lynching them, and setting their bodies on fire.


The police, in coordination with the leadership of Jos North Local Government Area, recovered the burnt bodies and transported them to the hospital morgue. During their investigation, officers also found two locally fabricated pistols, believed to belong to the suspects.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
