 I Cannot Control Narratives About My Marriage To Mercy Aigbe – Kazim Adeoti Review  Nollywood movie marketer, Kazim Adeoti, has spoken about criticism surrounding his marriage to actress Mercy Aigbe. recalls that in January 2022, Mercy unveiled Adeoti as her husband, after which the first wife to the filmmaker, Funsho Adeoti, accused Mercy of snatching her husband However, Kazim defended his decision to marry a second wife, citing his Muslim faith. Speaking on the controversies surrounding his marriage, Kazim, in an interview with journalists at the National Film and Video Censors Board’s (NFVCB) 4th Peace Ayiam Osigwe (PAO) Nigeria Digital Content Regulation Conference on Thursday in Lagos, said as a public figure, he cannot control others’ opinions or narratives about his marriage. PRESIDENT TINUBU URGES PEACEFUL GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION IN ONDO STATE


 


As Ondo State prepares for its off-cycle governorship election, President Bola Tinubu urges all political stakeholders and the electorate to uphold peace and decorum and fulfil their civic responsibilities without fear before or after the elections.


 


President Tinubu anticipates a democratic process in the state that will genuinely reflect the people's will and power to freely choose their leaders.


 


The President commends the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its diligent preparations for the election, particularly its timely distribution of sensitive materials across all 18 local government areas in the state.


 


He also acknowledges the deployment of security men to maintain law and order.  He appreciates the assurances from the Inspector-General of Police and the Chief of Defence Staff that the personnel will act professionally and adhere to the provisions of the Electoral Act to ensure a credible electoral process.


 


President Tinubu reminds all political stakeholders, especially the candidates, that the people bestow the privilege to govern, and this right must be respected and not undermined.


 


He emphasises that it is in the best interest of all Nigerians to ensure a free and fair election and consolidate our over 25 years of democratic governance.

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
