Calls for urgent, fervent prayers   The leader of Inri Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele, has called on the Federal Government to beef up security in the North and other parts of the country to avoid major security breach. He also called for fervent prayers to avert imminent calamities. Ayodele, who gave the advice in an interview with Sunday Sun, said that criminal elements in the county are plotting to carry major attacks in some parts of the North and other states. PRESIDENT TINUBU WILL DEPART ABUJA ON SUNDAY FOR RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL. (PHOTO).

 President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja on Sunday for Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to attend the 19th G20 Leaders’ Summit, hosted by the South American nation.  


Tinubu’s participation follows an invitation from Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who currently leads the G20.  


The summit, scheduled for Monday, November 18, and Tuesday, November 19, will bring together leaders from the world’s 20 largest economies, along with representatives from the European Union, the African Union, and key multilateral financial institutions.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
