Kansas driver’s license law puts some transgender residents in ID limbo A new Kansas law has effectively invalidated the driver’s licenses and other government-issued documents of transgender residents, leaving many in legal and personal limbo. Senate Bill 244, which went into effect immediately after the legislature overrode Gov. Laura Kelly’s veto, requires that the gender listed on a driver’s license align with the state’s binary definition of male and female. The law also directs the state registrar to “correct” birth certificates that do not match these definitions. Unlike similar restrictions in other states, Kansas’ law retroactively invalidates previously issued documents. Legal advocates warn that the law threatens the privacy and safety of transgender residents, forcing them to disclose their gender identity in situations ranging from employment applications to renting property or opening bank accounts.  Song Jae-Rim,South Korean Actor, Dies at 39


Popular model and actor Song Jae Rim, renowned for his role in The Moon Embracing the Sun, has tragically passed away at the age of 39 at his home in Seoul.

The Seongdong Police Station confirmed the news, stating that a two-page letter was found at the scene. While officials have withheld additional information about his passing, Soompi reported that the authorities said, “At this point in the investigation, there are no signs of foul play.”

A family statement revealed that a private funeral for family members will take place on November 14.

Song Jae-rim's notable roles include Moon Embracing the Sun (2012), Actresses (2009), and the reality show We Got Married (2014). He also appeared in other K-dramas, such as Inspiring Generations, Hot Ramen, Cool Guys, and Queen Woo, and recently starred in the musical La Rose De Versailles, with his last performance on October 13.


He also became widely known for his appearance on the popular variety show We Got Married alongside actress Kim So Eun in 2014.


In 2024, Song starred in the drama Queen Woo, portraying Go Pae-eui, the first prince. He also appeared in My Military Valentine as Song Jae-hun, a member of the anti-unification force.

Song Jae Rim's last Instagram post was made nearly ten months ago. In the weeks leading up to his death, the K drama actor account's name was changed to "Starting Along Journey," with a recent post hidden and comments restricted, prompting followers to speculate on the state of mind he was in.


This change has added an air of mystery and sorrow surrounding his untimely passing, as it seemed to hint at a personal transition that fans never had the chance to fully understand, as per reports.


Fans have taken to social media to share their condolences. 


One X user wrote: "WHAT! ! I can believe this yesterday I was rewatching 'we got married' I love his couple with Seoun omg rest in peace and my condolences to his family and friends."
