 New UK Prime Minister not the leader Britain needs — Kemi Badenoch UK Conservative Party leader, Kemi Badenoch, has congratulated Andy Burnham on becoming Britain’s new prime minister but said while he is “a nice man,” the country needs a leader capable of making difficult decisions rather than “a people pleaser.” In a statement released on Monday on X following Burnham’s assumption of office, Badenoch wished the new prime minister success but vowed to hold his government accountable as Leader of the Opposition. “Today, Britain has a new Prime Minister. I wish Andy Burnham every success. Because we need a Prime Minister and a Government focused on fixing the public’s priorities,” she said.  Two More LGAs in Borno State join Open Defecation Free List in Nigeria


Biu and Shani local government areas in Borno state have made the list of 130 local government areas in Nigeria declared open defecation free .

This came to light when the state authorities in collaboration with UNICEF and other partners launched the Borno state Open Defecation Free Roadmap and flagged off campaign for  ODF Borno state.

The occasion which  held at the Musa Usman Secretariat in  Maiduguri also  featured decoration of the wife of the Borno state Governor, Dr Falmata Babagana Umara Zulum as the wash Ambassador and presentation of ODF certificates to Biu and Shani local government chairmen .
